A beautifully remodelled and renovated village house in one of the most sought-after Cotswold Villages.
Description
Grade II listed and originally two houses dating back to the 17th century, Swinbrook Place has been completely restored throughout. Downstairs has two main reception rooms, one of which has a full size snooker table, the other is split into two with a log burner facing each side. In the centre of the house, is the media room with a large open fire place with the two stair cases at each side. Leading onto the kitchen past the downstairs cloakroom is the kitchen /dining room. The kitchen itself is hand made and finished with a natural light granite worktop and comes complete with a three oven Aga and built in Gaggenau appliances.
Upstairs there are three double bedrooms and one twin room, all of which have their own en suites with roll top baths and separate walk in showers. The principal bedroom suite at the centre of the home can be assessed via either stairs case. Bedrooms two and three also have the benefit of each having a log burner in the bedroom and the bathroom. Access via the open study leads you onto the forth bedroom with twin beds either side of the room and an en suite shower room. The fifth bedroom is located outside in a detached 'Bothy' with a log burner, single bed and en suite shower room.
The delightful gardens are laid out over approximately an acre with terracing, lawns, a mature orchard and garden paths leading to a “little studio” by the ford and a weeping-willow walk. Well-stocked flower beds give an all-year-round display, along with shrubbery and beautiful mature trees, with Cotswold dry-stone walls marking the boundaries. Two painted picket gates lead out on to the village lane. The “little studio” has been converted into one bedroom en suite hide away.
