*** Vendors comments *** "This house has been in our family home since 1991, seeing three generations raised in the house.
The property was bought with family in mind, and when we initially moved in, we were welcomed by the friendly neighbours on either side, which made the transition so much smoother. We immediately fell in love with the spacious feel and the many rooms this house has to offer. The living room/ kitchen area has always been the heart of the house for us as it allows the family to spend time together comfortably while talking to the head chef in the kitchen (me). The front room in the house was reserved for special occasions, but as we are all adults now, it is now the quiet space in the house. The spacious bathroom hosts a corner bath with a shower in which the children swam for hours
The paved garden brings the sunshine throughout the day and cools down during the evening with the shade of the apple and pear tree.
Upstairs, we have four lovely bedrooms, 2 double-sized rooms a single-sized room, and a triple-sized room with an ensuite. We love the amount of storage it has to offer with built-in wall-to-ceiling wardrobes in both double bedrooms, and if that's not enough, there is also a built-in wardrobe in the triple room.
We have been very happy in our home and have loved living here. We had planned to stay on in Mitcham for a good many more years especially with all the exciting development happening in nearby in colliers wood and main Mitcham, but since all our family have moved further East, we have decided to go and join them.
The house is a stone's throw away from Mitcham town centre, and Wimbledon and East Croydon are both 15-to-18-minute tram ride, which provide a 20-minute door to door train ride to Gatwick Airport which is another great plus for those quick city break trips or should you be so lucky, exotic holidays. Colliers Wood underground station and retail parks are also a short bus route away or a 15-minute walk, so it is a perfect location for great transport links into London.
I will miss the memories of the warmth of the garden in summer, our friendly neighbours and shopkeepers at the top of the main road, as well as the stillness of the surrounding area."
